"Sculpture's Song"

I'm not perfection, I can see

The many faults inside of me.

The tricks of thought and self-perception

That unseen alter heart's direction.

As I approach the Father's Throne

I lose the strength to stand alone

Against the light of such perfection

My sins cannot avoid detection.

Pulled from shadow

Now I see

How evil has corrupted me.

But with a firm yet loving hand

God shapes from me

A better man.

Removing that which stains my soul

And filling cracks to make me whole

I try to help, do what I may

But often I'm just in the way.

Finally He smiles wide

And sets all of His tools aside

It took my life but now He see's

The image of His Son in me.

Current Reading

So I just started reading the book God Has A Wonderful Plan For Your Life, by Ray Comfort.  So far it's quite good.  The idea is that modern (especially American) Christianity has fallen far short of biblical Christianity and has thus created many, MANY, false converts.  I actually got my copy free a short time ago thanks to a promotion on Living Waters.com, the website for the Christian group headed by Ray Comfort.  Besides the popular "Way of the Master" evangelism program they also produce sermons, books, tracts, and other useful ministry tools.  I'll post more info on this book as I read through it.

Up and Running

So yeah, I guess everyone has a blog nowadays.  Inspired by those around me I have decided to give this thing a whirl and make my own blog!  I'll probably be posting mostly errant thoughts and ideas as well as the odd poem or two.  Hopefully I'll remember to post interesting videos or pictures I find as well, so if you like come back when there's something useful here!
