Do not mistake tripping with falling,
Nor turning with walking away
Do not think that night-time means no more tomorrow's
Or that something that's dropped has been thrown far away.
Do not confuse now with forever,
Don't think that you're far beyond hope,
Hold fast to faith you rely on,
Even if it's the end of your rope.
Though your eyes may be blinded with heartache,
From what you have seen yourself do,
Though your hands may seem soiled and spotted,
You will find all His promises true.
In the end all our crimes will be banished,
Far away and unseen, all forgotten.
The price paid by our heavenly Savior,
The one, God's true only begotten.
At the end of your strength and your reason,
When the wealth of yourself is full spent,
When you can't see the sky through the clouds in your eyes,
Trust in Him, turn from sin and repent.
